The sear stone rides on a stainless steel roller and will not wear the sear jig. The primary angle screw is pre adjusted to duplicate the factory angle and can be changed to a different angle if desired. After the primary angle is stoned the sear is rotated on the sear pin and the relief angle is stoned. The tapped holes for the sear clamp and the primary angle adjusting screw are fitted with Steel Tread Inserts (STI) to prevent wearing the thread in the aluminum block with repeated use. The STI for the primary angle adjusting screw is the locking type and will prevent the screw from turning while using the sear jig. Complete detailed instructions are included with the sear jig.
