1911 NEW COLT GOLD CUP
The Colt Gold Cup scope base has the same 4 hole pattern as the later Bo-Mar Gold Cup Rib. The latest design of the Colt Gold Cup scope base does not require the front sight to be removed. A slot is milled in the bottom of the scope base to fit over the front sight. If the scope base is removed the rear sight can be reinstalled and the original open sights can be utilized. The scope base can be installed on a slide that has not previously been drilled and tapped. A new style scope base is available with 4 grooves for mounting the scope The scope base is the same dimensions as the original scope base with an additional 2 grooves. The extra grooves will allow the scope to be mounted a little further forward on the slide for a slightly different balance.
